I was born and raised in a tiny village in the north of the Netherlands, which is, in my opinion, one of the best places to do so. There were cows and haystacks and innumerable ways to get your clothes dirty.
Puberty was definitely an awkward period for me, so when I was scouted to be a model, things got really interesting. I was fourteen years old when I entered the Elite model Look and got sent to South Korea. Needless to say, I was very, very excited.
After high school I worked as a fulltime model for a couple of years. It’s an interesting business to be in, but they don’t feed the models enough. It gave me the opportunity to travel extensively but eventually I ended in the north of the Netherlands again, in Groningen, self-proclaimed cycling city of the world.
It was in Groningen that I met my boyfriend, mate, love of my life, Simon. We live together in a comfortable but somewhat crowded apartment. Together we plan on conquering the world, or at least see most of it.

In the meantime I own a restaurant that takes up most of my time.
I started this blog because I wanted to share my love of food, photography and travel, but also because I needed a hobby.
I hope you’ll enjoy!
